In Honda enthusiast circles, the term "Hybrid Performance" conjures images of lightweight Civics packing b-series or h-series motors under the hood. Now the term could take on a whole new meaning. In this auto.com article, Tom Elliot is quoted as saying "You can do a hybrid for higher fuel economy or for higher performance with an electric boost to the gas engine." and perhaps of greater interest: "Our next hybrid could be a performance model, it could be an Acura, and it could be soon,"
Acura people have been dropping hints like this for a while now, especially during the auto show season earlier this year, when they were showing two concept prototypes which employed IMA for added performance (RD-X and DN-X).
