A link to this article was posted in our forums by JG2003. I had a look and found that the article is mostly concerning the homologation of the current NSX Type R for sale in the UK, so Jenson Button can drive one on public roads (lucky guy!), but at the end of the article, they casually drop this little paragraph in:
"Meanwhile, sources in Japan have revealed that the next-generation NSX, which is due for launch in late 2005, will be powered by a mighty 3.6-litre 450bhp version of the current model's V6 powerplant."
To be frank, we've heard that the next NSX will deliver world class supercar performance, but our expectations in terms of power were a bit lower - in the 350hp range. These expectations have more to do with Honda's prevailing philosophy rather than our confidence in their abilities. Obviously we'll track any further developments on this 450hp powerplant. Until we hear more about this from other sources I'm assigning a credibility rating of 6.
