As you probably noticed, one of the TOV's servers went AWOL over the 4th of July weekend, and unfortunately I was 700 miles away from the office during the same time period.
It turned out to be a very small glitch and no data was lost, but since our servers have been hosted for the past few years in a facility which recently became unmanned, we had no way to get anybody to them until late this afternoon. In the mean time we decided to use this opportunity to transition to a facility that is within close proximity to us (rather than 800 miles away), so we can physically put ourselves in front of our server(s) if any other problems arise, reducing any potential downtime to a minimum.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Ryan Brooks for his generosity over the years - he has tirelessly supported our efforts and has provided free bandwidth and hosting to the TOV and we sincerely appreciate everything he's done.
Ryan's trying to sell his SCCA Rally Integra - if you're interested you can check out the car here: SCCA Rally prepped Integra
Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the downtime. Please note that there may be a few DNS-related glitches as we bring a few more servers online later this week, but everything should be pretty stable by the end of the week.
It seems that our backup database server may need a few configuration tweaks too - it's not quite coping with the load as well as we had hoped. So you may experience some page timeouts or added latency at times. The original database server will be reinstalled by Friday.
